Welcome to Dynamite. Dynamite is a youth club with an enthusiastic team of people who want to make the time the youngsters spend with us exciting and memorable. it’s a place to relax, chat and ask questions about life, the universe and everything. We would love you to join us and you can be assured of a very warm welcome.
Dynamite is for young people from Year 7 to Year 13
Dynamite takes place at Somersham Baptist Church which is on the high street.
What happens at Dynamite?
The evening is split into a mixture of three parts:
- free choice activities (Wii, twister, chess, giant jenga, nail polish, table tennis etc.)
- organised games
- a thought provoking epilogue
It is designed to help the children engage with challenging questions about God, faith and the Bible. So far these have been a real success.
We hope and pray that the club will provide the following:
- a safe, Christian environment for teens to meet, socialise and have fun
- support for Christian teenagers to live out their faith in an increasingly secular society
- help for those still exploring or new to Christianity to find out more
To treat one another how they would like to be treated and in the light of the love that God has for each and every person he created. To respect the role of the leaders in caring for them, the building, and the resources provided for their enjoyment.
That God created them and wants to know them; that he made this possible through the death and resurrection of his Son. Together we will explore what the Bible says about issues that are relevant to them and consider how Jesus is still changing lives today.
Through free time and organised games our young people will grow in confidence in their social relationships
We will endeavour to provide activities that our young people enjoy. We will be led by their suggestions in this area, as far as is practical and safe.
